Publisher’s Thoughts on America’s History 1215-1776: A Series of Tuttle Twins Stories

Our 240-page book on American history is unlike any other. Where other textbooks for kids focus on what happened, we focus on why it all happened. Where other books ignore the ideas behind the Revolution, our book is full of them. Join Ethan and Emily through a series of stories that share the inspiring events and powerful ideas behind the founding of America. This is an essential book for every freedom-loving family who wants their children to learn about America’s past so we can create a better future together.

Staff Thoughts:

So, what am I doing reading this book? After all, it is a book for young kids, ages 7-13. But maybe I am just a kid at heart or…I found this book very, very enlightening and fun.

If you go back to the top and notice the complete title of the book it has the years 1215-1776. “What American history in 1215”, I asked myself when I picked up this book.

It did not take but a few pages to jog my memory. If an individual does not study and learn from history, we don’t really appreciate all the elements that shape our beliefs and destinies.

The history of the Silk Road and its influence over worldwide trading created an environment of exploration. With trade routes came a multitude of documents about mankind’s interaction with each other – The Magna Carta, the Gutenberg Bible and the English Bill of Rights – to name a few. These documents are a treasure trove of thoughts human beings had in the past. They can be excellent tools for knowledge.

I enjoyed this book since factoids were presented in an understandable way that was both thought-provoking and interesting.

A child’s book – not even!
