We are all neighbors with a common interest, and, together, we CAN insist that our leaders update our 11-year-old traffic evacuation study — that our leaders use the FLEET evacuation modeling software to keep that data fresh and have simulations ready to use in emergencies as well as mandate this data be used in evaluating the impact of additional development in our WUI neighborhoods — and, most importantly, that they share this critical evacuation modeling with the public so we are all informed what do to in a variety of scenarios.
As we all watch our skies fill with smoke on a regular basis and are constantly reminded of the daily dangers we face, let that inspire you to stand up and say, “Enough! Do your jobs. Represent those who put you in office.”
