The seasons of the year, the chapters of a book, and the decades of a life are always benchmarks by which to judge people.  However, my favorite of these are the chapters in a book. My book is full of different chapters after 74 years, but I don’t remember how many chapters I have, let alone their names. I am, however, at a point in time where I want to go back and refine the chapters and put names to them.

Therefore, I have decided to cease publishing The Maverick Observer at the end of August 2026. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know people I have worked with and our readers who have found things useful and hopefully thought-provoking.  The word  “media” is being used in place of the “propaganda” word. Too many outlets are owned by folks with similar ideologies and no interest in presenting both sides or blatantly owning up to the fact that they are shunning the equal fairness doctrine of the past. Media today is tribal propaganda dressed in the garb of the indoctrinated, half-educated person with no knowledge of the Socratic method of thought. Unfortunately, I cannot change that!

Thank you all for your kindness and support over the last few years; I do really appreciate it. I will be looking forward to my next new chapter and being able to spend time reviewing the past chapters.
