MSNBC called the Durham Findings “a nothing burger” and “a dud.” If you’re on board with such thinking, you’ll likely thumb your nose and move on.

Most disquieting is what transpired both in 2016 and throughout President Donald Trump’s eventful, yet controversy-ridden four years as president. Like or hate Trump, the level of bias seen by the corporate media is alarming.

Administrative State Wanted Hillary

Few will argue that the federal bureaucracy aka the deep state preferred a Hillary Clinton presidency. The reality of Trump’s election sent shock waves throughout Washington. Suddenly, they were dealing with an outsider. In many ways, it was reminiscent of a hostile takeover.

The concern was so intense that the outgoing president, vice president, and director of the CIA met two weeks prior to Trump’s inauguration to discuss a strategy that would undo what they deemed a mistake. It amounted to convincing the country that long-time perceived adversary, Russia had interfered with the American election.

To make the allegation plausible, a dossier was created by Fusion GPS in association with the Clinton campaign. Russia, then, was portrayed as wanting Donald Trump in the White House. The strategy was viable in that it accomplished two objectives: 1) To convince America that Russia had interfered with the election because a Trump presidency would be in their best interest and 2) to create a diversion away from Hillary’s acid-washing of thousands of emails and the destruction of laptops containing potentially incriminating information against both the outgoing administration and Clinton herself.

The Greater Infraction

Retired Harvard Law Professor, Alan Dershowitz did not vote for Donald Trump. In fact, he is a lifelong Democrat who supported both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. Dershowitz’s assessment was thought-provoking.

“There can be no doubt that the Durham report is correct in having concluded that government officials – from the top down – viewed the evidence (or lack thereof) through the prism of resolving all doubts against Trump and in favor of his opponents. This was not so much a partisan bias, favoring Democrats over Republicans, because some of the worst offenders are Republicans who honestly believe that the Trump presidency endangered national security.

They have the right to hold such a belief, whether correct or incorrect, but as the Durham report made clear, they had no right to distort the facts, the law, and the principles in an effort to prevent the perceived danger from materializing.

To drive home his point, Dershowitz referred to a famous quote by former Supreme Court Justice, Louis Brandeis. “The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding.”

Disturbing Truths About Some of the Players in the Durham Findings

Then CIA Director, John Brennon was always a Barack Obama favorite. His background is noteworthy. Born in Bergen, New Jersey, he is the son of an immigrant blacksmith from Ireland.

Brennon holds an M.A. in Government from the University of Texas. During his college days, he expressed interest in a CIA career. He was greatly impressed when the agency did not blackball him when he truthfully answered their questionnaire admitting that he had voted for Communist party candidate, Gus Hall, in the 1976 presidential election. He reportedly repeated his preference in 1980 and 1984.

Brennon’s advocation of enhanced interrogation and his center’s opposition to a state’s right to determine how federal elections are convened suggested a “top-down orientation.” This reflected the mindset of the Soviet Union during the time of Leonid Brezhnev.

That John Brennon was the primary architect of the Mueller probe and the efforts to spy on Donald Trump, reflects a federal bureaucracy gone wild. The probe lent grave insight into the general thought process of these unelected bureaucrats, underlining the dangers of their accruing too much power.

No Boundaries for Bureaucrats

Most disconcerting is the increasing inclination toward Marxism in our government and especially in our federal bureaucracy. It stands to reason why Trump has made it a campaign objective to overhaul the vast administrative state that has gradually taken over our country. The problem rests with many Americans’ inability to recognize the sheer magnitude of the crime that took place then and over the past five years.

During a speech at the February 2022 CPAC convention, Florida Senator, Marco Rubio underscored the problem of identifying Marxism. “In their minds, they know what is good and what is right. There are many Americans who are Marxists and don’t realize it. Marxism is not an economic theory. It’s a viewpoint, a philosophy, and at the core is a group of people who know what is good and what is right. In their minds, they are smarter than everybody else and what is needed is a system that empowers them. Marxist lie because if they told you who they were they would never get to where they want to get. There are many Americans who are Marxists and don’t realize it.”

The Durham report confirmed another important fact going forward. There was flagrant election interference in both 2016 and 2020. That an outgoing Democrat Administration, including both Barack Obama and Joe Biden, would spy on Donald Trump’s campaign cannot be excused. That a largely fabricated probe instigated by Robert Mueller would turn up nothing, is more evidence that the administrative state now poses perhaps the greatest threat to the republic.

Two years and roughly forty million dollars of taxpayer money were wasted on what turned out to be an “exercise in futility and fantasy.” Worse still was the flagrant interference in both Trump’s presidential term and the subsequent election.
