Stunning Conclusion
I have been doing a lot of reading lately. Due to this I have come to a stunning conclusion. The internet allows you to prove everything is true! No, I mean it. The internet has all the facts for any side of any issue. I am dumbfounded.
Yes, I am being serious, but all this truth comes with a major problem.
Expert or Reporter?
Facts have become irrelevant even though they are all true. This happened because everyone on the internet is either an “expert” or a “reporter.”
This means that everyone on the internet is trained properly for these two types of jobs. They are trained by colleges or other qualified people. Wow! This is amazing to me. I am not sure I can really grasp what this means.
Diabolical Fantasy
But after a great deal of thought, I have an additional perspective. This is only a fantasy. Yes, it is a fantasy, but a diabolical one. I know too many people who are so self-centered or indulged that they have no idea of what facts really are. If they parade ideas around long enough or often enough – and better, if they post them on the internet – they become true.
I prefer to think of these folks as simple-minded and/or indoctrinated beings. Beings for some planet yet to be discovered. They must be from some other universe, not just another planet as these ideas are soooo far removed from reality. They live in a world of unrealistic utter nonsense.
As an old newspaper guy, I was always taught to get the facts and as much as you can deal with the hard facts only. But I digress we live in BS world with way too many folks that believe that everything is true. NOT!
