We want to extend our thoughts and prayers to you, the friends and family of The Maverick Observer, as we process the recent events on the news and in our community.
We support the right to protest the plight of persecuted individuals and to express outrage over the senseless death of George Floyd. We are grateful to our community for the peaceful demonstrations. With everything we have been through in the last couple of months and our businesses finally opening, we are pleased and proud of our community.
We recognize the work ahead of us to heal as a country and open the lines of communication for more inclusive treatment of all our citizens. The demonstrations have left all of us wondering how we can do better and treat each other with more respect, love, and empathy.
Small changes will make a huge difference when combined with our individual struggle to be better.
