Background: These DIY Halloween Bats are simple and so much fun! You only need black cardstock, scissors, a pencil, and double-sided tape. Don’t worry about using a stencil, because it’s much better to freehand draw them so they all end up a little different. I especially enjoy making these DIY Halloween Bats because they get the kids involved and it’s extremely cost effective. You can hang them on the wall, ceiling, or throughout the house to add a spooky vibe.
- black cardstock paper
- scissors
- pencil
- Scotch double-sided tape

- Fold half of your cardstock paper in half width-wise and the other half length-wise. This will allow you to have bats of all sizes.
- Use your pencil to draw the outline of your bat. Don’t worry about making them all the same. It’s fun to experiment and make them all look different with varying sizes and features (see below).
- Carefully cut out your bats and use the double-sided tape to hang them throughout the house.

Our Pumpkin Dip is always a big hit among the kiddos too!
