This second installment of Lies, Greed, Fearmongering, and Propaganda starts with City of Colorado Springs. Developers and builders created the strong mayor position and, in the process, weakened the city council. Without clear-cut guidance on legislative versus administrative procedures, both bodies flounder and get mired in trivial issues.

I have had it!

I recently watched a video on a lawsuit pending with Cabela’s over the sale of ammunition. In Nov. 2016, Jake O. Klocek purchased ammunition in the Cabela’s store in Cheektowaga, New York. A few days later he accidently killed Anthony King, a friend he invited over while housesitting. Who can you blame for this accident? Jake Klocek.

You do not give a damn about the everyday folks in the state of Colorado! Your arrogance, narcissism and lack of empathy shine every time you decide to kill people’s livelihood in this state.

As the days get shorter and leaves start turning, we feel a crispness in the air. Bring on the fall and football! Along with a great football game, we set out a spread of appetizers to enhance our tailgating experience with family and friends. But this year we have an added aspect to our football experience. Overt racial messaging to change our thoughts on white privilege and police brutality.

I don’t fit in today’s lifestyle. Have I passed my prime? I think not. However, there are evil devices all over the place that have been spoiling folks, including me, since 1992. These electronic gadgets have become the second worst invention in my lifetime. There is a tie for the first, either TV or social media.

One of the least fun things that happens every other week at the MO is watching the city council work session and meeting via computer screen. It has made me reflect on how utterly ridiculous our local representatives are. Oh, I know that they are mostly good people trying to do their best with difficult topics but GIVE ME A BREAK!

What to write about next? Two things have been engrained in my thoughts: Standards matter. Or is the tail wagging the dog?
