Background: These Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are soft, chewy, and delicious! They are incredibly simple and take half the time as regular cookies. Trust us, make these once and you’ll be sold. You’ll never go back to slaving over batches of chocolate chip cookies ever again. We simply switch up the M&M’s and sprinkles based on the season to make them more festive! You can always use regular M&M’s and sprinkles.

  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup Christmas sprinkles
  • 1 cup Christmas M&M’s
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Using a stand mixer or hand mixer with a large bowl, beat the butter and sugars together. Mix in the eggs and the vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, just until combined.
  4. Fold in about 3/4 of the chocolate chips, M&M’s, and sprinkles.
  5. Press the dough into the prepared baking dish. Top with the remaining M&M’s, chocolate chips, and sprinkles. Press down slightly to set them into the dough.
  6. Bake for 24-28 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting them into bars.
