“Dangerously good” perfectly describes this Cotton Candy Margarita!

Background: This Cotton Candy Margarita recipe is so good that it can win over a tequila skeptic. It’s the perfect summer cocktail. The splash of cream soda allows the cotton candy flavor to come through and highlight the tequila perfectly. We made fresh cotton candy, but you can use store bought as well. Using fresh squeezed lime juice is key in this cocktail. A cotton candy sugar rim and cotton candy garnish make this drink look as good as it tastes.

  • 3/4 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 1/2 cup cream soda
  • fresh cotton candy or store bought (1 package)
  1. Combine tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
  2. Add cream soda and gently stir.
  3. Use a lime and cotton candy sugar to create a sugar rim for each serving glass.
  4. Fill serving glasses ¾ of the way with cotton candy.
  5. Pour mixture over cotton candy until is half full, then top with ice.
  6. Gently stir to dissolve cotton candy.
  7. Cotton candy will dissolve quickly as soon as it touches liquid. If you wish to serve your cocktail with a garnish on top, keep that in mind.
