Background: No Christmas celebration is complete without Alton Brown’s Eggnog recipe. This is our favorite holiday tradition and Mr. Brown has perfected eggnog into a creamy, sinfully delicious holiday treat.

  • 4 egg yokes
  • 1/3 cup sugar, plus 1 tablespoon
  • 1 pint whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 ounces Angel’s Envy Bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 4 egg whites
  1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the egg yolks until they lighten in color. Gradually add the 1/3 cup sugar and continue to beat until it is completely dissolved.  Add the milk, cream, bourbon, and nutmeg and stir to combine.
  2. Beat the egg whites until soft peaks. Slow mixer speed and gradually add the 1 tablespoon of sugar. Increase mixer speed and beat until stiff peaks form.
  3. Whisk the egg whites into the mixture. Chill. Serve in teacups or small glasses, garnish with a sprinkle of more freshly grated nutmeg.
