Background: If you want a tart margarita, this is the one for you. Freshly squeezed limes, lemons, and oranges create a beautiful blend of tart tastes with the agave providing a touch of sweetness to this tequila recipe.

  • 4 teaspoons grated lime zest
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (2-3 medium limes)
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (2-3 medium lemons)
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice (1 medium orange)
  • 1/4 cup agave (I like my Margaritas tart…adjust sweetness to your taste)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Crushed Ice
  • 3/4 cup Gran Patron Platinum Tequila
  • 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
  1. Combine all zests, juices and salt in large glass measuring cup.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  3. Strain juice/zest mixture into a quart pitcher; add tequila and Grand Marnier, stir.
  4. Using short On-the-Rocks glasses, fill 1/2 full of crushed ice and top with the mix.
