Background: Friends introduced us to this wonderful gin from Madam Pattirini. After we read the fascinating history, we had to try our own martini. It turned out excellent.

- Add dry vermouth and shake a few times to wash the ice then discard dry vermouth from shaker.
- Add gin and shake until very cold.
- Pour into a chilled martini glass and garnish with lemon curl.
History of Madam Pattirini: The back of the bottle states, “Madam Pattirini, a.k.a. Brigham Morris Young, was the 35th child of Brigham Young. In 1885, after returning from a second church mission in Hawaii, B. Morris Young performed and sang all over Utah as a woman. Madam Pattirini’s falsetto was so convincing many in the audience did not realize she as a man. Madam Pattirini’s Gin celebrates that Utah is a little wilder than many people think.”
