Background: Joanna Gaines’ Biscuits recipe with Sausage Gravy is my family’s favorite breakfast recipe! My boys request it weekly. This recipe is incredibly easy with minimal ingredients. Everyone always loves it and I’ve shared it so many times over the years.

  1. Over medium-high heat cook your sausage in medium to large size skillet.
  2. Using a large spoon, sprinkle your flour over the sausage mixture. You’ll want it to completely cover the sausage and soak up the remnant grease without having excess flour. Excess flour will make it clumpy. I use a spoon to add it in so I can regulate the amount of flour.
  3. Add milk until it completely covers the sausage mixture. Honestly, I never measure and pour straight from the carton. You can always add more milk to thin it out if you need to. Turn to low heat and cook for approximately 10-15 minutes or until it thickens.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste. We like a good pepper gravy, so I am pretty heavy-handed with the pepper. Salt, not so much.
  5. Best served right away over a plate of hot biscuits! Enjoy!

Biscuits & Sausage Gravy and my Overnight Blueberry French Toast are my go-to breakfast recipes!
