Cheesy Crab Dip

Background: This hot cheesy crab dip is a simple appetizer recipe that will wow you! The combination of crab, caramelized onions, and peppers make it rich and full of flavor. It’s simple to make and requires minimal ingredients. Next time you’re hosting, add this hot crab cheesy dip to your menu.

  • 1 1/2 packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 6 ounces lump crab meat
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  1. Chop onion and saute in EVOO until tender and just starting to caramelize; cool.
  2. In large bowl mix together completely: cream cheese, mayo, Parmesan, and both peppers, then mix in the onions and crab.
  3. Turn into a buttered baking dish.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  5. Serve with crackers and vegetable sticks.

NOTE: Can be doubled for a larger crowd. Serve with an Apple Cider Moscow Mule – delicious!
