
Background: This slightly modified Manhattan recipe is from the Spring 2022 Whisky Advocate magazine.
- 6 ounces Colonel E.H. Taylor Single Barrel “Bottled In Bond” bourbon (or other “bottled in bond” bourbon or rye)
- 3 ounces Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
- 5 dashes Angostura bitters
- Light pinch kosher salt
- 3 ounces water
- Luxardo or Jack Ruby cocktail cherry, for garnish
- Mix all ingredients together, pour into a covered glass jar, and place into the freezer for at least several hours.
- Serve in frozen martini glasses and garnish with a cherry.
