Background: We used Skrewball’s Peanut Butter Whiskey to create this PB&J Old Fashioned recipe. It’s a simple and delicious twist on a classic cocktail! We used homemade blackberry simple syrup and garnished it with a mini peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

  1. For blackberry simple syrup: combine 2 cups blackberries (fresh or frozen), 1 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice in a medium saucepan. Stir and bring to boil over medium heat. Cook on low heat for an additional 10-15 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow syrup to cool. Pour syrup through a fine mesh strainer (or clean muslin cloth lined strainer) into a bowl. Pour into a bottle or jar and refrigerate.
  2. Combine whiskey, simple syrup, bitters and ice into shaker cup. Shake for 15-20 seconds.
  3. Serve in whiskey glass over ice (ice sphere pictured above).
  4. Garnish and enjoy!
