Background: This patriotic Flag Fruit Pizza is a family favorite recipe! It is incredibly delicious and gets the family involved. I always recruit my son or little helpers to construct the flag. It’s a win, win. They have fun decorating this festive dessert and we create fun memories in the kitchen. Plus, the pizza is SO GOOD!
- sugar cookie dough recipe if you are making your own dough, or 2 rolls of Pillsbury™ Sugar Refrigerated Cookie Dough that is premade
- 1-2 pounds of strawberries
- 11 ounce package of blueberries
- 2 packages of cream cheese
- 1 ½ to 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Heat oven to temperature suggested on cookie instructions. Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper. Sprinkle with flour and continue to use flour to roll out chilled cookie dough into bottom of pan to ½ inch of edge.
- Bake 16-20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 1-2 hours.
- In medium bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice with electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Spread mixture over cooled cookie crust.
- Arrange your strawberries and blueberries into whatever design you desire. Our favorite is the flag, but we also like stripes and spirals!
- Refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour.
- Cut into squares – I like to use a pizza cutter.
- Cover and refrigerate any remaining pizza.
Three Cheese Mac & Cheese and Tim & Lorie’s Beans are other BBQ essentials.
