Governor Polis has announced the Colorado Comeback Cash opportunity. If you are vaccinated against COVID-19, you could win one of five $1 million giveaways, starting June 4th. The state is going to create a unique number for each person identified on the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS) and draw the winner and alternates. What could possibly go wrong with this process?

First what is the CIIS and how do I know if I am in it? According to Denver Channel 7, “…..the database was created in 2007 by the Colorado Immunization Registry Act and should have records from that point on. Vaccine providers must report to the system, it is not voluntary. CIIS says it has 10 full-time staff members who are dedicated to ensuring accuracy. If you notice an issue, you can report it to the help desk.” By simply accessing the CIIS website, you can check to see if your vaccine provider has updated your personal information. Unfortunately, you and about 5,000,000,000 are trying to access their data before June 4th.

Second, not only is the governor enticing us to get vaccinated with cash, but he has also revealed the fact that Colorado tracks all your immunization information for the last 14 years. What else are they tracking?

Finally, I want to win some money. I have a kitchen to renovate, and the cash would come in handy.
