The Ford Amphitheater in northern Colorado Springs has been riddled with controversy since the very beginning.
The 8,000-capacity venue was initially approved by the Colorado Springs City Council in November 2022. Council rejected an appeal from residents concerned about noise and parking issues in January 2023. A judge later denied a lawsuit brought on by The Northside Neighbors Association’s related to noise ordinances in January 2024.
After the Ford Amphitheater officially opened this past weekend, noise and traffic complaints have already been filed with the City. Others have taken to social media and other platforms to voice their concerns.

Chloe Hoft, Vice President of Marketing for VENU Inc., responded to a request from KRDO13 regarding the complaints from citizens:
“After monitoring sound all weekend, we were 100% in line with our commitments made in the PUD with the City of Colorado Springs. All our mitigation tactics are operating and working properly. We will report this information to the city as they have requested, and we committed to in our PUD.”
