Speakers Tuned M2!5 Speaker

I had a new and interesting experience this weekend. I had the PBN M2!5 speakers “placed” or more accurately the speakers tuned to my room. What do I mean?

Most people buy a house that predominately does not have a dedicated stereo (two channel) room. I used an existing room in the basement. A wonderful gentleman named Jason, from Listen Up, showed up at my home at 12:00 pm on Saturday. He had completed a specific class to do this. All I know about the class is that it was three long days of hard work. I didn’t ask him more, but he was gracious enough to allow me to watch.

There was some real magic in the class. The soundstage and the focus of the centerstage were improved greatly. While Jason was working the volume was high. He brought appliance moving devices to help him move the 280-pound speakers around. He spent a lot of time laying with his head right next to each speaker while he was checking the bass in the room.

I still don’t understand it, but the results are quite worth it. Now, I can work on rewiring the system. It’s an adjusting challenge, but a dedicated 2-channel room is worth it.
