The Mistletoe Kiss Cocktail is a perfect drink for the holiday season.
Background: The Mistletoe Kiss Cocktail makes for an excellent drink during the holiday season. With a homemade rosemary simple syrup and fresh squeezed lemon juice, it’s flavorful and refreshing at the same time. The cranberries and rosemary sprig as a garnish make it festive and fun. The Mistletoe Kiss Cocktail is made with vodka, which makes it a crowd pleaser and perfect for parties or entertaining during the holidays.
For the rosemary simple syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 sprigs rosemary
For a small batch (makes 2 cocktails):
- 6 ounces Tito’s vodka
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 ounces rosemary simple syrup
- club soda
- handful of cranberries, fresh or frozen
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
For a large batch (makes 10 cocktails):
- 30 ounces Tito’s vodka
- 5 ounces of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 10 ounces rosemary simple syrup
- 1 liter club soda
- 1/2 bag of fresh or frozen cranberries
- 10 sprigs of rosemary
- To make the rosemary simple syrup: Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally to ensure the sugar is dissolved. Allow the mixture to boil for five minutes, then remove from heat and drop in 2 rosemary sprigs. Allow the rosemary to steep for 15 minutes. Pour the syrup into a jar or plastic bottle, cool and keep refrigerated.
- To make a small batch: Pour vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a drink shaker filled with ice. Cover and shake well to blend. Divide drink between 2 glasses filled with ice, straining the ice from the shaker as you pour. Only fill the glasses 3/4 of the way so you can top with club soda. Garnish with cranberries and a rosemary sprig.
- To make a large batch: Pour vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a pitcher and refrigerate until cold. When ready to serve, pour the drink mix into glasses filled with ice. Only fill the glasses 3/4 of the way so you can top with club soda. Garnish with cranberries and a rosemary sprig.
