Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups put a Halloween spin on a classic dessert that everyone loves!

Background: Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups are easy to make and perfect for Halloween. Simply adding pumpkin candies transforms this classic dessert into a fun, festive treat. There are many different dirt cup recipes out there, but this one is our favorite. It’s a tried-and-true family recipe that never disappoints. Instead of putting them in dessert cups, you can always make this recipe in a rectangular, cake pan. This is a great recipe to get the kids involved with. It’s incredibly easy to make and everyone will love it!

  1. Take 2/3 of your Oreo cookies and separate the icing from the cookies. Discard icing. Crush the cookies into a “gravel” consistency.
  2. Next, take the remaining intact Oreo cookies and coarsely chop them.
  3. Prepare chocolate pudding per instructions on the box. Typically, you’ll whisk milk and pudding mix together for 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Mix coarsely chopped whole Oreo cookies into the pudding mixture. Then, fold in cool whip.
  5. To construct dirt cups, sprinkle some of the Oreo “gravel” mix into bottom of the dish. Add pudding mixture, then top with more Oreo “gravel” and pumpkin candies.
  6. Refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
