Homemade Ranch Dressing

Background: If I would have known how it easy it is to make homemade ranch dressing, I would have been making it for years! It is delicious! This ranch dressing recipe is flavorful and allows you to make it as thick or thin as you’d like. It’s great on salads or used as a dip for all your favorite things. You can also easily transform it into blue cheese dressing my adding blue cheese crumbles. We store it in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to one week.

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream – Daisy Brand
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk or regular milk – less milk will make it more thick, more will thin it out
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely cracked pepper
  • 1-3 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice, to taste
  1. Whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream and milk until smooth.
  2. Add all the spices and whisk until well combined. Add the lemon and whisk again.
  3. Pour into a jar and chill in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to develop before serving.

We love to drizzle this ranch dressing over our Buffalo Chicken Totchos. So yummy!
