Background: This Spicy Italian Sausage Dip is cheesy and decadent with a little kick! It is the perfect appetizer and every bite is packed with flavor. We’ve tweaked the recipe a handful of times to find the perfect flavor. With football season upon us, this recipe is finding you at the perfect time. Spicy Italian Sausage Dip is great for parties, BBQs, or even as an appetizer for Italian night! Serve it with toasted Italian bread and watch it disappear. It has become one of our go-to recipes because it’s easy and everyone always loves it!

  • 1 pound spicy Italian sausage
  • 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 can diced tomatoes drained, but not rinsed
  • 1 cup pepperoncini peppers, drained and diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or more if you like it more spicy
  • Italian bread, sliced
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray dish with non-stick spray and set aside (I used a casserole dish that is slightly smaller than a 9×13 casserole dish).
  2. Next, cook your Italian sausage. Drain grease and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine your cream cheese, 2 cups mozzarella, parmesan, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, sausage, and seasonings. Mix together with a spoon until its well combined without any cream cheese chunks remaining.
  4. Spoon into casserole dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and slightly browned on top.
  6. Lightly butter your Italian bread slices and place up on a lined cookie sheet. Broil on low for just a few minutes.
  7. Serve dip warm with fresh toasted Italian bread. Enjoy!
