Being a guy who likes electronic things, I have some major issues. I used to believe that the highest quality formats would win at the end of the day. For instance, Sony had a video format called Betamax and an audio format called Digital Audio Tape (DAT). Both formats received some acclaim, but in the end got trounced in the marketplace.
