Being a guy who likes electronic things, I have some major issues. I used to believe that the highest quality formats would win at the end of the day. For instance, Sony had a video format called Betamax and an audio format called Digital Audio Tape (DAT). Both formats received some acclaim, but in the end got trounced in the marketplace.

I am very fortunate my wife is a great cook. She likes to try many different recipes and all types of cuisines. I would say her success rate for my tastebuds is at least 98%.

Capitalism is not in conflict with global good. Though it has become a popular mantra pushed mostly be the left that capitalism is evil, that could not be farther from the truth. Look at what Patagonia has done for both the environment and fair trade with their “1% for the Planet” campaign all while creating a company worth over $1 billion.

I have been on this planet for 68 years and have had a lot of varied experiences. This article will deal with spending money on new versus used things.

At the MOB we pride ourselves for having personal hands-on knowledge the things we write about. Turntables are flying off the shelves for the last few years. He was talking to Edwin Black who coined the words “digital ghetto.” As Mr. Black was explaining this term and further explaining the fact that in Germany the Jews were put into ghettos with a lot of their rights trampled on, my mind raced to stories I have read in the past.

Cigars and booze. Do they really complement each other or not? I do not have a general answer to this question, but I do have an opinion. I believe they do and sometimes it depends on the mood I am in.
