Why, because they had a 15-inch bass speaker, the crossover was exceptional for its time, and the actual construction of the overall speaker was very cutting edge with a bass cabinet and separate enclosures for the mid-range and tweeter.
City Council and the Election
I am very disappointed about the recent city council election and I need to put a lot of blame on myself. The Maverick Observer did not do enough to point out the major issues plaguing the city and council since 2006?

AMTRAK Service in Colorado Springs
The Gazette Telegraph ran a headline celebrating the possible use of infrastructure funds for AMTRAK service to Colorado Springs. Well, to me, there is a major issue with this presumptive hoopla. Amtrack loses quite a bit of money.
